ROLLING STONES - DANDELION (Psychedelic Flower Power)

A delightful slice of flower power psychedelia from the Stones during the summer of love 1967. Dandelion and We Love You made a great single. Sweet singing, superb drumming from Charlie and diverse orchestration. (All rights reserved by the copyright owners. The Stones were so innovative back then .. it may sound like heresy but after Brian Jones died, the Stones weren't quite as interesting ... fine video you have done there, you make videos that are well worth the cost of admission if there was one!!!

I just wish someone had added this song, "We Love You" and "Child of the Moon" to the "Satanic Majesties" CD, because they all three would make a lot of sense on it. I've heard that one of them was going to be part of the album originally (I keep forgetting which one), so that would be even more of a reason.

why in  the world was this not a bigger hit than it was? It did respectable in the Top 15 at the time, yet it is never played as a golden oldie...sad

I love the psychedelic stones era, Brian shine's through all the song's beautifully,is there any instrument he won't try and blend in with rock and roll, fascinating.his work on lady Jane is truly unique in every sense, it's never been repeated

Always loved the horn section. Maybe an oboe? If so did Brian dub it in?

clothes then were so wonderful and didn't cost too much.. l remember a photographer friend who went to Scotland and England on an assignment with his crew. they brought back vast trunks of clothes they'd bought at flea markets there. they had a wonderful time and got some really amazing things!

Lennon's vocals on this song and his writing contribution to the song "We Love You" were nothing short of greatness. These songs quickly became the anthems for the later half of '67 and were there "All You Need Is Love and Baby You're A Rich Man" 7 inch Split singles for the Quarter.

Wikipedia says Recorded Nov- Dec '66 and under it, May- July '67. Is the famous released song made of recordings from '66, and overdubs and final mixing summer '67? Or Is what we've been hearing for the past 49 years an entirely new recording from the We Love You sessions?
