"The Strangers" Trailer (Better Lock Your Doors!)

Lock the doors. Assume you're safe. The horrifying events that took place in the Hoyt family's vacation home at 1801 Clark Road on Februay 11, 2005, are still not entirely known. Champagne. Rose Petals. Candelight. It was supposed to be a night of celebration for Kristen McKa (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scot Sppedman). But after leaving a friend's wedding reception and returning to the houe, everything had collapsed for the happy couple. Then came a 4 a.m. knock on the door and a haunting voice. Is Tamara here? Imagine what it's like being the strangers watching this movie since they were never caught
Mychal_ Corleone
Such a good movie. Remember seeing it opening friday night back in my high school days. Packed theater and I swear every female screamed and jumped at the same parts. Enjoyed it so much, I actually bought the dvd when it dropped.
I watched this when I was home alone..... Not a good idea....
Bella Correa
This movie is so good because there is nothing scarier than the motive: they did it because they were home. More horror movies should be like this, I think it makes it so much scarier!!
"Why are you doing this to us?" "Because you were home..." is honestly the scariest part of this. Probably because that's what makes it real.

this was the best horror film i ve ever seen in my life
Two versions of the scary: - the first one, where you're basically lounging back on your chair eating cereal, listening on your labtop to this movie with headphones, and minimising the window on the scary parts. Bonus points if the illegally downloaded version was bootleg from a theatre. The movie isn't scary a lick of salt. - the second is where you are home alone, it's dark in your entire house, it's night outside, you're in your Jammies, and your watching this movie on VHS, DVD, or Blu-Ray. Bonus points if it was Halloween. The movie is legitimately unsettling.
The only thing I remember about this movie is that I fell asleep in the theater and was awoken by some dude screaming lol
Camryn Jensen
This movie makes you scared to be alone
this was one of few scary movies that really shook me. im only scared by realistic horror flicks
Emily Hernandez
At the end it said 'Because you were home.'

I believe that this movie teaches a lesson. It may be bluntly obvious to some people but in case it isn't... Spoiler alert, I guess. So, the movie starts out with them at this wedding and the whole movie had this dull monotone. You can tell that there's not very much warmth or happiness throughout any of it, even at the beginning, with the couple. They come home and he's set this beautiful array up for her. With champagne and rose petals and he went all out for her. Because he really loves her. He then proposes to her. In which she denies him. He's obviously heart broken but she assures him that she loves him and they hug and stuff but you can see very bluntly that there isn't much passion in their relationship. I fee like, even though it was never brought up, that this relationship started off great and happy and they just kind of gradually fell apart and there became a tension between the two. But not in a good way. And even though it wasn't set up like that, I feel like this movie portrays relationships and the irony of the fact that be dies and she doesn't. She's going to live with regret because she didn't marry him and she didn't take her time with him for granted. So, the lesson is pretty simple. Love. Make sure that you love people close to you and use every relationship as well as you can. Because you never know when it's going to end. My portrayl on this movie. Really liked it. Scary none the less.
Seriously one of my fav horror movies

Talk about idiots! They literally made so many wrong calls. #1 When they were about to drive off in the trashed Volvo, why didn't they floor it when the guy was in front of him? #2 Always look before you shoot #3 Why would you go the barn and separate after all this? If someone is trying to kill both of you, you stick together. One person covers the back (180 deg) the other the front (180 deg), making 360 degrees of protection. Common sense! Oh and nice job not carrying any weapons at the end lady. Because, you know, you can kill potential murderers so easily without a weapon....
Ntatali Aqanopoulou
i suggest it *-* Its really perfect BECAUSE i don't like horror movies with ghost or exorcism There is nothing to fear in this category.. but when there are muderers as the strangers its really good

This is the best horror movie ever, imo obviously. The 911 phone call in the beginning was chilling and heart wrenching. Imagine how scared those poor kids were. I think the movie was slow at times. But it's amazing

"This is my remake of the 2008 film, The Strangers by Bryan Bertino, for coming up on 500,000 of ya'll I decided to make a film based off my all time favorite horror movie! It took a lot of time, effort, and money out of my own pocket to get this one done. I really hope you like it :) I tried my hardest!" this is even in the bio of the sawyer hartman film. Read before you start saying stupid shit.

Farzan Farnaghi
i think that after killing them, the "strangers" girl called 911, and thats what was playing at the begging, then they drove off and met the kids at the end. but the actually ending makes no sense when the woman is still alive
Farzan Farnaghi
this movie is a 5/10, and heres why, the scare/horrer movie factor is a perfect 10. But this needed a great story. that is what would have closed the deal. It needed something that shoked us like it was part of the proposel? they were living there before. BUT NOTHING, the writters didn't give us anything! they just killed them for nothing. Like this movie was sooooo good. I was dying to understand the story! those anyone else agree
Farzan Farnaghi
i didn't find that part of the movie scary anymore because of this comment
@Farazan Farnaghi not really, the killers an animal shape head
Farzan Farnaghi
i think the new movie "your next" is kinda like a sequal?
