Saw Uncle Ted at the Paramount in Huntington village last night. The dude blew up the venue. Afukkingmazing! I love this shit! A blitzcrieg patriotic intro, an homage to the black bluesman of rock history. Motown. a Jimi tribute. Most of his hits, some Damn Yankees, 6621 live concert of his life. A hot damn time I had indeed. Super shout-out to Derek Day, sorry I missed your first couple of tunes, but dude you wail, great style.

When this album came out my sister just showed up and gave it to me. I was so happy I started to cry. I do not remember that ever happening to me before or since. I still love Ted.

This album and a little bit of Mother Nature changed the way I listen to music. I liked the Rhythm and singing of Wang Dang Sweet Poontang but the guitar solos sounded like noise to me........ But one night I I heard the guitar solo differently in Wang Dang Sweet Poontang. When I thought it was over he just caught another gear and then did the same thing again!!!! With a huge smile on my face I I could now listen to the whole album like I had never heard it before. Wang Dang and stormtroopin' are still of my two favorite solos. Have never heard a version of stormtroopin' that even comes close to the one on double live Gonzo. This album was my first vinyl purchase that I bought with my own money and I was probably 12 or 13.
