Darn, spring is over and I saw them all around.  Wish I knew this before.
routledge7
Poor fish in that tiny empty bowl :(
Traudi Lepse
Hi, Enjoyed the video. Just a thought though. Most medicinal qualities can be lost in the steam so you may think about putting a lid on the cup whilst steeping until the steam settles. Cheers Traudi

Dude you talk too much it's boring and a waste of time Not everybody is this stupid not to follow you dough
Backflippin' AFROdite

one guy says to use boiling water and one says to not use boiling water...hhhmmmm
Sarah Whitaker
I actually tuned in because I read that dandelion tea might be a natural way to deal with water retention and I wanted to see how it was done. I really enjoyed this. Favorite quote, "try not to be too delicate about things like that." LOL Very informative. BTW, do you know if it would be better to make the tea from the root for dealing with water retention? I know you said something about using the root tea for a liver cleanse.
Lyran Rane
Thank you for making this video! I’ve been looking for a homemade tea to make without having to make any extra herbs or start a garden but I have tons of dandelions in my yard and now I will be using them for tea!
Rachel Keith
Oh my word why so long to get to the point of the video? Btw there is a much easier (and also less time consuming) way to get the petals without using scissors. Buy that poor fish some greenery or something!
jwnagy
Wow, it's been 8 years since you posted that and you still talk too much.
The Rad Pandaman
can you use those paper coffee bowl thingies instead of a steeper
31acruz
way too much talk. Needs to be much simpler and to the point. And "skip the public announcements"
The Brewster Files
short description of video... cut the yellow parts off & steep in boiling water... what I do though, is I spread them out on a cooking sheet, put oven to 200 for 2 hours. Then use the dried stuff to steep, it comes out better.

Can this tea fight cancer cells ? Brother
curlywolfone
Hot Water is easy, I stay in that all the time with my wife! ;^)= BTW, save the bus for your bowl fish, yum, yum!
Phil Fflow
Good video. Thanks, MadBadVoodo. I started collecting all of my lawn dandelion flowers when they went to seed. Scattered them in one corner of the back yard that weeds seemed to like. This year I have had a very healthy crop. I forgot about tea. I will make some tomorrow. Keep up the good work!
Mary Burt
Can you use dried dandelions?
dirtdiver5050
It's so crazy we pay so much for food, yet most of us just waste this simple source of nutrients. People are so crazy. P.S. Ron Paul 2012!
Christine Scullion
I understand that people eat dandelions and make tea or wine. I have to tell you, due to what I faced in The past, the doctor suggested that I don't eat wild stuff, dandelions included. I just wanted you all To beware, the doctor may say stay away with certain medical problems.
White Witch
just found your channel! hello 😁

I make dandelion bread, it's delicious and great for your body!
Michelle Jay
Since I live in Ohio there are no Dandilions now. I will be harvesting them when they come back. Just got diagnosed with fatty liver so I hope this will help me.
satsumamoon
You can skip the first 4 minutes, better still just read this; snip off the yellow petals from 2-3 flowers, discard the other stuff.Brew for 3-5 minutes in a steeper or tea sieve.
Karmen Garcia
That was great thank u
kim boot
you sound just like my insurance guy,
Brother Timothy Clark
dude, boil them and then grind them up. couldn't you just make your tea that way?
Edwin Mayor
Can you mix the root and the flower? I'm going for maximum health benefits.
Chinoiserie
lol, wouldn't like to get man boobs but its also Cancer-Killing too. By Christina Sarich Natural Society June 24, 2013 The extract of dandelion root has been shown to cause chronic monocytic myeloid cells to commit suicide. Due to this initial success, the team has recently been issued a $157,500 grant (totaling $217,000 overall) to discover how this natural remedy can treat Leukemia altogether.
RogerWilco
Why are you shouting the whole time? I might try this at some time.

Thanks so much for sharing this

I don't understand why the person got down-voted so much. If you have medical conditions, it's always best to check with the doc before you add something new to your diet. That's all he/she was saying. For example, for a lot of medical conditions, like heart/blood pressure stuff you can't start drinking grapefruit juice because it interferes with the intended absorption of the medication. Grapefruit juice is still totally normal and healthy, but it can kill/fuck you up if you have conditions.

Is it okay to keep the pollen part? I picked some dandelions but they were a bit small, petals were not to big :((
fuxholeu
There's a more efficient and higher yielding way to pick the flowers off. Instead of shearing the flowers with scissors, turn the bud upside down and gently/delicately pull out the green bitter part off with your fingers. It will come off easily and you won't waste any flower + no need to use tools ( scissors ). :)
blossom sakura
I also learned that if you are lost in the woods these are a great survival plant. I never knew that the flowers you'd see every day were edible.
Emoluxray
I heard dandelion tea makes your breasts larger.....
GracenLace

MadBadVoodo
It's best to eat the greens in May-April b4 they get bitter IMHO However you can make the tea anytime oh and the roots make a great tea that's good for your liver...
Remilia Ragtime

You are welcome my friend...
Alexandra Rievolution
thanks so much for posting! the fearful responses from people to dandelions is astonishing!
dialchemy
Such a silly comment, but thanks for the advice. People have been eating dandelion for thousands of years (that IS a fact), long before witch doctors became legitimized and "authorities" and btw they taste great! Your obvious indocrination really is a fine example of why we dont use more wild abundant foods.
MadBadVoodo
@Illchangeitlater The most common allergy is to grass pollen, which affects around 95 per cent of sufferers. The pollen is released from mid-May to mid-September but levels peak between June to the end of July.
Crystal Tweeboom
@MadBadVoodo Dandelion is the mane cause of hay fever in most people.
MadBadVoodo
@Illchangeitlater "Aren't allot of people very alergic to danelion?" Thats a new one on me but ask your Doctor if you want...
Crystal Tweeboom
@MadBadVoodo Aren't allot of people very alergic to danelion? Is it ok to drink the tea?
garden333
some salad blends in the store have dandelion leaves in it. The only time you should not eat them is if you put some sort of poisons in the lawn.
MadBadVoodo
@PrincessSpearmint Did you ask your doc if it was OK to eat spinach??? Dandelions are not toxic and for 99.999% of people are just fine to eat. If you have medical issues it would be smart to ask you doc b4 you put anything into your piehole... just sayen :)
NeoLudditeDave
@mrgunandrun Dandelions were originally brought to North America as a food crop by early European immigrants. The leaves, flowers & roots are edible.
MadBadVoodo
@SocalDNM Yes
blondegaijin
You ROCK! Never go away! You helped me a lot! ^_^
Ash
"i don't care about spots on my apples leave me the birds and the bees ...Please?" not to mention that most bugs are perfectly edible .......
James Carmichael
Dandelions are very good for you. Infact most weeds are.Full of minerals, animos, enzymes and other cool stuff.
ElTalonDude
I have been trying to make a "flour" with the roots by drying and grinding them up. I noticed however that when i cut the roots a milky liquid seeps out. Almost all posionous plants have milky liquid from the roots. Survival experts advise people to never eat plants with milky liquid in the roots, i know im picking dandelions. I was wondering if there are different kinds of the plant? And if i should just ignore the milky liquid? Thank you for your time and video. -ElTalonDude
sukhdeep saggu

@skaivey It was a success! and I added some strawberry slices in as well, and honey for a sweetener!
