I was there in Springfield that night, Uriah Heep opened. What you don't hear at the beginning is Ted telling the crowd that they were recording a live album and if we made enough noise, we might make it to the record. The following evening, June 11 '77 I was in NYC to see Led Zeppelin
Mark Ortiz
I think the sound engineer should have won an award for this record!!
Nick Maniatis
Friggin' classic! Someone should upload Motor City Madhouse. He does a scream at the end of the song that'll shoot down an airplane lol.

Try unplgging your digital toys and pick up a real guitar and play some real fucking rock and roll like this! In the moment, live on stage, with actual band members and real instruments, now thats a real man making music!

Ted was the last gen admission concert at Cap Centre - every chair on the floor was piled around the soundboard. I was on the rail up front and my ears rang for a week. It was a couple weeks after I saw Zepplin on my birthday there in '77

I have worn out multiple copies of this all-time top double live album. 8-Tracks/Cassettes/LP's/CD's/DVD's The music rocks on, but no one yet has created a media that can stand up to this over time.
Richard Chestney
The Nuge and Heep touring together, I'd like to see that again.

As big an asshole I think this guy is, this Double Live Gonzo is definitely one of the best Rock n Roll albums ever. His studio work...eehhhhhh, but live, he nails it. The energy comes through here unlike his studio albums.

All I know is my Double Live Gonzo Album... YES, two vinyl discs... saved my ass from many a boring day back in high school. I saw him live at Day On The Green swingin' from a rope to enter the stage. Then again ay Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento with his infamous array of Yellow Marshall amps. He added inches to the cracks in the ceiling of the auditorium (Fact). My ears were howling and I can't say I appreciate it today. But OMFG...
David Moore
He's a rep. and he has his head up is ass like the rest of the rep. but i still love his music!

No To fast Teddy doesn't croon this tune. I thought the same back in the day before I saw the performance on midnight special. Ted did most vocals but not this dog eat dog was another one last can remember but that you can pretty much tell.

Does Ted Nugent sing here? For years I thought he was the singer, considering the fact he's a solo artist. But after checking live footage out, I'm not sure if it is him singing or not (and am pretty disillusioned by it, haha)
DIVISION 3 COMMENTS
THAT WASNT TED ON GUITAR. THIS IS A FAKE THING. EVERYTHING ON DOUYBLE LIVE GONZO THE SAME, BUT TEDS PLAYING WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED BY AN AMATURE. IVE HEARD THE SONG A MILLION TIMES IN MY LIFE, ON DOIUBLE LIVE GONZO, I KNOW EVERY NOTE. THIS IS NOIT TED NUGENT ON GUITAR.
